Dalius Jatuzis received his medical degree, neurology training and PhD degree at Vilnius University in Lithuania. His postgraduate training includes fellowships in neurology and clinical physiology in Lithuania, Sweden and USA. Curently Dalius Jatuzis is full-time Professor of Neurology, Director of Institute of Clinical Medicine and Head of Clinic of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Vilnius University, Lithuania. He is a President of the Lithuanian Stroke Association and Lithuanian Association of Neurologists.
Dr. D. Jatuzis is a national coordinator of educational activities of World Federation of Neurology in Lithuania, Fellow of European Stroke Organisation and representative of Lithuania in European Academy of Neurology. He serves as executive editor of Lithuanian medical journal „Neurologijos seminarai“ (Seminars in Neurology) and reviewer of numerous international high-ranked journals.
Jatuzis has co-authored 11 book chapters and 42 publications in international peer-reviewed scientific medical journals. Dr. D. Jatuzis’ current research interests involve cerebrovascular disease, stroke prevention and acute stroke treatment, cerebrovascular ultrasound and headache. Practical clinical activity of prof. D. Jatuzis is closely related with the implementation of contemporary principles of acute stroke management and prevention, regular updates of national stroke guidelines, reorganization of national stroke care network and breakthrough of modern reperfusion stroke therapies in Lithuania.
